Good Job Market
Portland’s job market is unique and stable. Growing industries including technology (Intel, Tektronix), health (Oregon Health & Science University), and sports attract most professionals (Nike, Adidas, Under Armour).
They work in IT, marketing, product design, or customer support.
The city’s abundance of high-tech companies has earned it the moniker Silicon Forest.
A+ Culinary Scene
Yum! The culinary scene has evolved into something else in the previous decade. On the other hand, Portland’s restaurants have a strong feeling of community that embraces new ideas and sustainable and local ingredients.
If you don’t mind getting filthy and learning new skills, you may take culinary lessons here. Events like Feast Portland promote the city’s varied culinary choices. Portland has it all: a fashionable crowd, a fine meal (ideal for a date), and fresh oysters.
Steady Growth
Portland is a popular city for new inhabitants, and it has grown significantly in recent years. Every year, the population grew by 1.7%. Every year, it gains over 40 thousand residents. Portland’s growth rate has slowed since 2018.
Despite this, its growth rate remains significant when compared to other Oregon communities. Young professionals and those seeking jobs in technology are drawn to the city.
Recreational Opportunities in the Outdoors
Portland is also a great place to live if you like being outside. Don’t allow all the business chatter and the sight of skyscrapers put you off. Adventure and trekking are available in plenty in this magnificent city.
It is, in fact, well situated to take advantage of the natural splendour of the Pacific Northwest. You may wander through Forest Park, pause beneath a beautiful waterfall, dip your toes in the Willamette River, or ride through Gateway Green.
A wide variety of options are available to suit everyone’s needs. No matter what your favourite outdoor activity is, you’ll be able to find something to do here. When it comes to riding, Portland real estate investor is a great enthusiast, but he also loves to experiment. He was also taken aback by the sheer number of leisure opportunities available in the city.
