Only Purchase Tested Products
Lights and electrical decorations are the usual sources of fire hazards during this season. So, to keep them from ruining the mood, only purchase authentic products that are certified safe for use by trusted testing laboratories.
- Additionally, read the instructions prior to installation. There are indoor holiday lights that are not safe to use outside. Meanwhile, there are also outdoor lights which can be a little too hot for your Christmas tree—leave them a little too long and it may burn up your tree.

Avoid Overloading Electrical Circuits
Everyone’s looking forward to lighting up your place. But, while it’s the case, make sure you’re not overloading your circuits. Avoid plugging too many electrical ornaments in your extension cords. Otherwise, it can overheat, cause a short circuit, and blow the fuse along with it.
